BBLTM (BROADBAND LIGHT) REJUVENATION
Skin Tightening & Firming
What is BBLTM REJUVENATION?
Phototherapy (Intense Pulse Light therapy) targeting the signs of aging
- The BBLTM energy safely produces heat in the upper layers of skin
- The heat stimulates cells to produce new collagen leading to tighter, brighter and more elastic skin

How Much Does BBLTM REJUVENATION cost?
BBLTM REJUVENATION starts from S$300 Nett/Single session (T&C’s apply)
BBL™ (BROADBAND LIGHT) REJUVENATION
Broadband Light or BBL™ is a comprehensive phototherapy system that incorporates dual flashlamp technology, interchangeable filters, snap on adapters and a precise thermoelectric cooling system for safe and effective treatments.
The light energy delivered by the BBL™ will gently heat the dermal layer of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending natural colours and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.
Your eyes will be first be protected with safety shields and metal goggles. Then a cooling gel will be evenly applied to the treatment areas. The handpiece has CoolComfort™ Technology which enables continuous monitoring and control of the temperature of the sapphire crystal in contact with your skin. When the handpiece makes contact with you skin, you will feel a cool sensation and afterwards a very short duration of heat and light when the energy is delivered to your skin. This can be described as a “rubber band snapping on your skin” as the light energy is absorbed by the targeted areas.
The procedure is gentle, non-invasive and safe. Utilizing the CoolComfort™ Technology, accurate cooling of the crystal in contact with your skin can lower the temperature of your skin just before the energy is delivered, reducing discomfort and risks of side effects seen after treatment with IPL machines without this feature. This cooling also helps to reduce the discomfort immediately after the pulse of energy is delivered. Precisely engineered parabolic optics allows uniform delivery of energy for consistent results and minimized pain.
Generally with BBL™ and the above features, there is no need for a topical anesthetic.
The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient and your physician will personalise a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Minimal interval between sessions is approximately 4 weeks.
A Stanford University study1 showed that:
The expression of ove4 1000 RNAs became rejuvenated in older skin treated with BBL™ and more closely resemble the gene expression profile of younger untreated skin.
Rejuvenated genes included several known key regulators of:
- Longevity
- Lifespan
- Tumor suppression
This results in:
- Increased elasticity
- More ordered and uniform collagen deposition
- Improvements in fine wrinkles, pigmentation and vascular lesions

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours, but no requirement for you to stay indoors or avoid cosmetic application afterwards. (Again, this is a NON-invasive treatment so no needles, no blood, no crusting after the treatment.) You are able to return to work, apply makeup and resume most of your activities immediately (Please avoid exercise 1-2 days before and after the treatment). However, it is advised to avoid excessive, prolonged sun exposure 2-3 weeks before and after the treatment.
There is no special aftercare needed in terms of topical applications. The most important thing to avoid is UV radiation from sun exposure. Especially immediately after the procedure, but even weeks or months after the procedure, it is advised to avoid excessive, prolonged sun exposure even with sunblock applied. Depending on your skin condition and sun exposure, you may develop darker pigmentations in the treatment areas. You are advised to apply sunblock every 1-2 hours when outdoors and avoid outdoor exposure especially during the peak sunlight hours of the day.
